Doctor Moskel
Doctor Moskel is the Physician on staff. He is a Medical Doctor and limits his practice to Psychiatry. Dr. Moskel is also a licensed Psychologist. He possesses 25 years of practice experience and has worked across the region of Pennsylvania serving Lackawanna, Luzerne, Wayne, Franklin, Fulton and Butler Counties.
Dr. Moskel is pleased to now have a practice in the Cumberland County Region. He has diverse experience in treating a variety of emotional and psychiatric conditions using medication therapy as needed, but he is also conservative, thoughtful and recognizes medication is not the only approach to care. His practice philosophy is to partner with the patient. He carefully evaluates medical history and knows the importance and potential impact of general medical health conditions as related to mental health. Moreover, Dr. Moskel takes the time to learn about familial and relationship factors that may be contributing to stress and poor emotional health. Dr. Moskel provides treatment to adults and geriatrics. He has a special interest in providing treatment to the Medicare population. He recognizes this to be an underserved group of patients and is especially pleased to be part of a practice where therapy and psychiatric treatment needs can be provided in one single office setting. |
Making the decision to enter therapy:
Life can be messy and sometimes we are faced with unforeseen circumstances or long ignored/tucked away memories that have become unmanageable. Sometimes things can be painful or maybe even a little embarrassing and the need arises to discuss with a person outside the circle of family and friends.
Entering therapy is an ideal way to secure the most private and personalized form of comfort and counsel.
Making the decision to start therapy could feel stressful and maybe even a little scary. Maybe, you have even tried therapy before and you weren’t feeling ready and now you’re wondering if you should give it a second chance. Once the first session or two occur, generally, there is a big sigh of relief and a renewed look at situations that may be troubling for you right now. You begin to see that the choice you made to take care of yourself was an important one and the right one.
Seeking therapy is connecting with a “personal trainer” for your emotional well-being who partners with you and actively listens in a non-judgmental way and helps you to see yourself in an empowered way as well as begin to make sense of and solve challenging life situations/stressors. A more balanced and self-assured attitude and life style is within reach.
